Last week, the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology, Micky Tripathi, published a blog post outlining new and existing resources offered by the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC) to address questions related to the ONC Cures Act Final Rule.
The Final Rule went into effect on April 5, 2021, with penalties and enforcement actions starting on July 1, 2021 for those who aren’t in compliance.
ONC's Fact Sheets and FAQs provide high level explanations of the new requirements, who is impacted, and why the requirements matter to the health IT community. However, as Mr. Tripathi states, "no law or regulation can address or anticipate every local consideration that might arise during implementation."
It is important to work with experts who are continuously connected to healthcare standards and the interoperability community for a personalized roadmap to compliance and organization-specific implementation guidance. At BookZurman, we have been part of creating and testing these rules in the federal sector and understand the rule's nuances that may benefit you and help you achieve your business goals more holistically.
Feel relieved that there is someone out there who can navigate the resources and provide clarity and a custom strategy for your organization. Read BookZurman's Ultimate Guide to Adopting 21st Century Interoperability and book a meeting with us today!
