Staying Connected in the Community: Virtual BPM+ Health Session Today (with a few of our friends!)

Written by BookZurman | Jun 25, 2020 4:00:00 AM

Many IT consultancies focus on a single thing. There’s nothing inherently wrong with being a specialist but imagine a work crew showing up to a construction site exclusively with wrenches. That’s certainly going to limit how much they can effectively do there.

One of the things we are rightly proud of at BookZurman is that our professional associates generally aren’t singularly talented. And the combination of their talents is … well, impressive and humbling. We approach “construction sites” with ALL the tools.

Our team’s professional reach also means we are doing some really cool things with really smart friends. One of those is in the arena of business process modeling notation (BPMN), which has wisely leveraged work done in the “regular” corporate environment and applied it to healthcare.

BPM+ Health, a community of the Object Management Group, is working to develop standards-based processes and pathways that document care paths/workflows so that, for now, they are shareable and replicable. The longer-term goal is these will be computable: a real step forward!

Some of our friends – including those at Perspecta and Trisotetch – are participating in an online seminar today from 11 am to 1 pm (U.S. Eastern Daylight Time) titled, “Clinical Pathway Implementation Showcase.” They will be demonstrating real-world uses of BPM+ and how it benefits the overall healthcare journey.

We believe these kinds of advancements are key for the healthcare IT community to maximize the positive impact technology can bring to bear. Click here for more information on the session and here for attendance registration. Bonus: It’s free!
